The vision for Sandy Hook Preschool is to create an inviting environment where children can create and explore as they develop socially, emotionally, and intellectually, and become independent learners in a Christian environment.
Our preschool is a part of Sandy Hook Church, a United Methodist congregation focused on "Building a community which introduces people to a relationship with Jesus and transforms them into His devoted followers." We believe there are many aspects of our program that make it a great place to learn. Our family is so grateful for the opportunity to have received the love, nurturing, and learning experience provided by Sandy Hook Church Preschool. Our daughter was more than ready for kindergarten, having all the key knowledge and practices she needed to take with her to her new school. She started with learning shapes and colors and left with knowing how to tie her shoes and reading a ‘ring full’ of words with a whole lot of fun field trips in between. Our experience goes beyond the knowledge gained, however. The staff, from support staff all the way to the Director, became family to us and as excited as we were for the new adventure of kindergarten, we were equally saddened to be leaving behind those that played such an vital role in our daughter’s preschool life.
